Thoracic mobility plays a huge part in a functional body. The shoulders reside on the rib cage, and if there dysfunction in the rib cage movement, you can bet there probably will be issues with the shoulders being able to move properly. Also, your lungs live under your rib cage and if the rib cage can’t move well, your breathing capacity can suffer.
In this video we look quickly at the anatomy and 3 drills that I like to help promote more movement in this area.
