Grand Villa

The Details

Our home for the week is a beautiful and quiet lodge located in the highlands of Santa Cruz. The lodge is secluded and tranquil, the perfect place to relax between adventures and roam in the lush and extensive grounds. Enjoy the swimming pool and jacuzzi, relax in the hammocks or take a walk around the gardens or along a forest trail.

Practice plenty of yoga and meditation with Tate on a yoga platform with far reaching views of the forest and fruit trees.

Our private boat will be taking us around the archipelago to visit the extraordinary wildlife. We will carefully explore the islands on foot and dingy and then swim and snorkel in beautiful bays and explore the reefs.

Bartolome Island offers some of the most emblematic sceneries of the Galapagos Islands. We walk on the island with our guide and learn first hand about the volcanic origins of the Galapagos Islands and then take a dingy ride along the coastline to see the Galapagos penguin before heading to Sullivan Bay for some snorkelling.

On North Seymour Island you’ll walk through a forest of Palo Santo trees to see sea lions, land iguanas, blue footed boobies and dynamic colonies of frigate birds. Explore Las Bachas, a beautiful coralline beach perfect for snorkelling, swimming or relaxing on the white soft sand. The nearby lagoons are the feeding grounds of various wading birds, from stilts to flamingos.

Between yoga classes and island trips, we have options to explore by bicycle along with a kayaking adventure and a cooking class. There will be also be time to visit the El Manzanillo Tortoise Reserve, the Charles Darwin centre and we have an afternoon and evening out in Puerto Ayora.

While we have packed a lot into this trip of lifetime, there is also time to practice yoga, to book a massage or lie by the pool, chat and make new friends.
